A little bit about the owner / operator of Compass Rose Window Cleaning Services, Charles Rice

       I am new to the area of the Crystal Coast and relocated here upon retiring as a Sergeant from NYPD after serving 20 years. My wife, Lois, and I have called this area home as of January 2008. We purchased the property that our home is built on in Febuary of 2002.  We have 3 daughters, our two older daughters,, Diana and Christina, are still residing in New York and our youngest daughter, Jessica, has relocated with us and is a full time student at Carteret County Community College.

     We fell in love with the area after visiting family and going for a boat ride on Bogue Sound. As a boating and fishing family the area has alot to offer. Also the people in the area are a joy to associate with and have made the relocating transition enjoyable.

     I am an active member of the local chapters of  The Blue Knights #18, Farternal Order of Police #77 and the Knights of Columbus #8143. I believe in what these organizations stand for and the contributions that they make to the local community. I also hold a current North Carolina Commercial fishing license. .....As you can see I really do call this area HOME.....

     I have been cleaning windows for approx. five years, and can be counted on to provide a Clean, Prompt and Professional Service. I believe that the customer should be comfortable and protected by the people that they are dealing with. It is for that reason that I am licensed and insured and a affiliated member of the North Carolina Better Business Bureau,  which is not a mandatory requirement, but voluntary.  It also is benificial for the customer to deal with a business which are affiliated with trade organizations, it keeps the business updated and educated with the latest issues that effect their field. That is why I am a current member of the Master Window Cleaners of America Association.  Another item that Is important to the customer is what type of tools will  be used, the tools of the trade that I use are, UNGER products. Unger is regarded as the best in the business and are used by most professionals in the  Window  Cleaning Business. The quality of the tools reflect on the quality of the finished product.   

     The Weather plays a factor in the performance and outcome of the final product.  It is recommended not to attempt to clean windows on  hot days in direct sunlight. On bright and sunny days early morning appointments may be in order. On rainy days the service can be performed when the weather cooperates.
